Description

In the age of the digital revolution, our appetites to consume and make sense of data are insatiable. As an answer, organizations are hiring data scientists and buying new BI tools. Yet, the problem remains - organizations are unable to efficiently scale analytics across their enterprise.

While tools and talent are a part of the solution, there is no doubt that they are not the end-all, be-all to poorly designed data landscapes. Data scientists spend eighty percent of their time on data wrangling activities. Most of this time is spent on low value work. While the rest of the time, forty-four percent, is wasted on unsuccessful activities.

The solution brings together tools, talent, and technology to democratize data across business disciplines. In my presentation, I'll discuss three foundational components to democratizing data for self service analytics. They include: certified datasets, business owned data stores, and feature stores.
