Caitlin Porter is the Director of Information Technology at HarbourVest Partners, where she leads the firm's Data and AI Fluency initiatives. Since joining HarbourVest in September 2021, Caitlin has been instrumental in shaping the firm's data culture, designing learning programs, and making data accessible to colleagues at all levels. She has built and managed key training pilots and works with vendors to offer data and AI fluency trainings globally.Before HarbourVest, Caitlin was the Director of Data Fluency Strategy and Programming at Teach For America, where she developed the flagship Data Ambassadors program and created the annual Data Ambassadors Symposium. She has extensive experience in instructional design, project management, and data education.Caitlin holds a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University and a Bachelor of Arts Magna Cum Laude from the College of William and Mary. She is certified in Agile Essentials, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), and Adult Learning. Caitlin recently co-authored an article in the Harvard Data Science Review, entitled "Data Literacy in Industry: High Time to Focus on Operationalization Through Middle Managers."
